Lone Star fund raises $5.9bn

The Lone Star Real Estate Fund V has raised $5.9bn (£4bn) to invest in commercial property debt and equity across the Americas, Asia and Europe.

Investors include institutional pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, university endowments and wealthy individuals.

Lone Star initially started raising capital for the fund in January, with an initial target of $5bn.
